What we do

Our Process

1. Getting Started

The first phase toward the creation of your new kitchen involves sitting down with us for a chat. We'll discuss all your requirements in detail, while offering our recommendations and any other ideas into the mix. We'll then work alongside you to plan the whole process out, from the configuration of your kitchen space, to the materials used, the colours and other finishing details such as bench-top surfaces, sinkware, tapware and handles. We'll package all of this into a visual concept for you to consider and approve, and you can tweak and make changes along the way. When you're happy with the vision, we'll present you with a quote and a contract to sign so things can get started.

2. Measuring Up

The second step is to more accurately gauge the site, the space where your kitchen will go. This involves one or more visits to measure and ascertain any other contributing factors we may need to take into consideration for your kitchen design and build. Then we'll develop a timeframe for the work, and a deadline. Following this we'll scope all the materials and any other product inputs before getting started with the build in the Burley Kitchens & Cabinetry factory.

3. The Build

Once the above two steps have been completed we start the manufacturing process. We do this at Burley Kitchens & Cabinetry's factory, where we have all the tools and the space to make your kitchen creation come to life. Throughout this stage you're welcome to visit at any time to inspect how things are progressing. And, if there are any adjustments just let us know, it shouldn't be a problem.

4. Bells & Whistles

At Burley Kitchens & Cabinetry we do most of the work on our kitchens ourselves. However, there are a few things we need our partners to help out with such as bench-top finishing and cabinetry painting. Once your kitchen has taken shape and all the joinery has been completed, we'll send the cabinetry out for the finishing. On its return we reassemble everything and quality check everything is as it should be. At this point you can really begin to see how your kitchen will look before we break it down and pack it up ready for transportation and installation.

5. The Install

The final phase is when we deliver your kitchen to your home and install it. The same people who have worked on your kitchen from the beginning will do this personally, so you can be assured no stone will be left unturned as your kitchen is carefully unpacked and put together on-site. Our staff will coordinate with other tradespeople such as electricians and plumbers to make sure your kitchen will be in action in no time at all.

*In the majority of cases the process of having our clients' kitchens designed, built and installed only takes 4-6 weeks.
