Craig Burley is the owner-operator and managing director of Burley Kitchens & Cabinetry having served 26 years as a
joiner and cabinet-maker at Garry Nugent Joinery. Craig has a Trade Certificate in Cabinetmaking and is CAD-design
Since starting Burley Kitchens & Cabinetry in January 2014, Craig has become a hands-on director involved in virtually
every aspect of the company's operations. He's just as comfortable on the tools down on the factory floor as he is
consulting and designing kitchens, and is often on site when kitchens and cabinets are being installed at clients' homes
For Craig, the move from long-term employee to owner-operator-managing-director is a whole new journey and one he
is finding thoroughly rewarding. Outside work Craig is involved in many aspects of hockey, is an avid follower of his families different interests.
Garry established Garry Nugent Joinery in 1983 and ran the company for 30 years designing, producing and installing
top-notch, unique kitchens and cabinetry for Hawke's Bay clients. Semi-retired Garry continues to play a key role in the
day-to-day running of Burley Kitchens & Cabinetry.
Since the rebrand, Garry has been working in a part-time capacity, supporting Craig's management while handing over
the reins and his decades of experience. This 'succession plan' is a structured process that's been in place for the past
few years and will continue for a few more as Garry slowly steps away from the business and into retirement.
Patrick Fromont is Burley Kitchens & Cabinetry's full-time foreman, he acquired his trade certification in 2003, and he
previously worked at Garry Nugent Joinery for 13 years. Pat deals directly with clients and is involved with the entire
process through design and production, and he'll also be the guy making sure your install all goes to plan, and is finished
off to an impeccably high standard.
Having served his apprenticeship under Craig at Garry Nugent Joinery, Pat gained his Trade Certificate in Cabinet
Making through Jito NZ in 2003 having also completed various pre-trade carpentry courses at EIT Hawke's Bay. Pat
intends to play the long game with Burley Kitchens & Cabinetry in order to help it grow into a well-established business, while constantly learning new skills and contributing to the staff and the positive environment they work in.
In his down time, Pat can be found on the sidelines at his kids' sports games, playing hockey and socialising with mates.
Andrew has been with Burley Kitchens for 3 years and is a valued member of our team. He has 18 years experience in Joinery and has worked in other joinery shops in Napier and other parts of the country.
Andrew has had a positive impact to our workshop, while keeping a very high standard of workmanship. Andrew has embraced the learning curve of installing kitchens and is a very established finisher of high quality work.
Andrew has a wide range of skills including making bespoke kitchens, timber furniture and kitchen installing. Andrew is a qualified tradesman that takes great pride in the work he produces.
In his spare time Andrew likes to spend quality time with his family and supporting them in there various interests.
Jayden Dunsmore is the newest member of the Burley Kitchens team. He has just started an apprenticeship with BCITO. Jayden has been living in Australia for the past 4 years, but decided to move back to his home town to be closer to his family. Jayden is a family man with two young children, with the eldest just started school.
Jayden formally worked in a fibre glass manufacturing company and was in charge of ten men. Jayden has always loved working with wood and it has been a goal of his to become a qualified joinery tradesmen. Jayden has been working with us for the past three months. He has made good progress in his work and has earned respect at Burley Kitchens. Jayden is also learning how to install kitchens we are making and is showing a good eye for finishing his work to a high standard.
In his spare time Jayden enjoys spending time with his family, watching and playing rugby and also enjoys working on cars.
Tina Burley is Burley Kitchens & Cabinetry's part-time office administrator but can also be found lending her hand to just
about everything that goes on in the business. Out of hours, Tina is Mum to two young children and is heavily involved in
their schools and extra-curricular activities. She also enjoys walking and the great outdoors.
Bette Nugent shares the office administration with Tina and has been with Burley Kitchens & Cabinetry since the
beginning. With over 30 years' experience in office and financial management, she's often the first point of contact. Bette
is also a fully qualified kitchen designer, which means she knows a thing or two about designing and putting kitchens
Semi-retired, when Bette's not working she enjoys fly-fishing, walking, sewing, 8-ball pool and plenty of quality family
